BandWith regard to the costume design for our video, we decided to look at various punk rock artists and the style of clothes that they generally perform in, in order that we could get some inspiration. We looked into artists such as Bon Jovi, Green Day and Blink 182
This is a picture of TFI (the band we are using) at one of their live concerts. They are dressed in a similar way to other punk bands, portrayed by the use of dark coloured clothing involving red/white ties and black shirts. Although formalwear is seen in bands like Green Day, it is much more untidy as punk generally sends a message of anarchy and rebelling against the system.

We decided we should change the band's clothing to follow the genre more closely in order for the video would follow the right generic conventions.
These are the designs for possible costumes we could use. They're mostly based on the colours and styles of other punk band's clothing, including those mentioned above.Characters
The most important part we thought for the character's costumes was the connotation of their colours so they could reflect their personality. We looked through the options we had and decided the main female should be in green due to its connotations of envy and jealousy, the second female in red as it connotes romance as well as danger and finally the male would be in dark or black clothing to reflect his negative actions and make him a recognisably evil character.
The actual style of each piece of clothing would depend more on the scene they are in. Quite casual smart clothing would work best for the party scene and much more casual clothing for the other scenes, except for the bar in which the first female would need to wear clothes such as a shirt and black trousers to highlight her role as a waitress in that scene.
These are the final costumes we chose for the characters and artists:
In the end we gave the artists leather jackets, dark trousers and white shirts to contrast with each other, following Bon Jovi's style of dressing.

For the characters we chose to have the male in jeans and a blue chequered shirt which looked casual on him so he looked believable but also as a dark blue connoted calm and power reflecting how in the video he will be in a peaceful state when he is unexpectedly poisoned.
The waitress costume followed a basic modern style for waitresses so she looked equally believable and so the audience acknowledged she was of a particular profession (revealed to be a waitress by the location).
