Rough plan for music video

In terms of structure, like a lot of music videos in the punk rock genre, we will be constructing our video using a combination of narrative, told chronologically (to follow the lyrics of the song), and a montage of performance shots, so that the audience is reminded that the band are the main focus.
The editing will be discontinuous and very fast paced to reflect the tempo of the song, with shots lasting no more than 4 seconds each.

 -Ryan Chapman and Peter Godwin-

Our Narrative shots will include the following scenes:
  • A house party scene where the male lead is introduced to the second girl and he then cheats on his current girlfriend.
  • A bedroom scene where the couple have an argument and break-up.
  • A pub scene where the male lead is poisoned by his ex-girlfriend for cheating on her
Our performance shots will be of the band performing against a wall in an underpass covered in graphiti which is stereotypical of the punk-rock genre.
The shots will be mainly of the lead singer as she sings the song but there will also be several shots of the guitarist playing as well. The focus will be on the guitarist during the guitar solo in the actual song.

-Peter Godwin-
